Online status says my applications were recd on Oct 2/ 2007.
My reciept notices show the right date in August.

If your company is having layoff they cannot start new GC labour. But it has nothing to do with 485. And as in your case it doesn't stop the processing.;)

Hi Gurus...
I am one of the July 2007 EAD filers and did not file for AP at that time.
So I am in the process of the renewing EAD & Applying for AP for the first time.
I have couple of questions..
do you get Finger Printing for EAD Renewal ?
do you get Finger Printing / Biometrics for first time applying of AP [Advance Parole]
Your help is much appreciated

As long as the job responsibilities and duties match with what you are already performing, it is 100% safe to switch jobs . I had the same issue last year and I spoke with an attorney at Murthy law firm and based on which I started working with the new company. I did inform USCIS and everthing is working well so far.

Hi,
I applied for SSN for my wife using the EAD,the person at the SSN office noticed that the date of birth on the EAD was not correct, but still took the application.Our lawyer reapplied for a new EAD last week but we recieved the SSN, please let me know if my wife can work using the SSN or wait till the reapplied EAD is approved.

Hello:
I got two EAD extensions in past and applied for the same third time. Earlier, EAD Renewals took only 2 weeks time ( from VSC). But this time it is not the case. It is still pending for 4 weeks now.
Are there any recent EAD renewals from TSC for anyone? Please let me know if anybody has similar case?
PS: Since my case(I-485) was transferred from VSC to TSC, I applied for EAD renewal at TSC this time.

I have got H1B after long long wait from L1B visa. I work for an MNC from the past 6 years. (5 yrs in usa and 1 yr in india). I came on L1B visa to Usa and applied for a green card EB3. My 140 is cleared in 2008 and 485 is pending(My employer says pending but not sure about that as he did not give me the reciept number). My job role is architect and leading a team of 14. But getting peanuts like 58k. I have lot of debts and clearing from 2 years and presently my credit history is recovering back to normal. Presently managing with debit cards...
