Filed July 1st 2007 and my I-485 was transferred from NSC->CSC->NSC. Have a I-485 receipt # that starts with WAC, but is currently pending at NSC. Any recent WAC# approvals?

Tried opening a SR - the SR# ends with CSC. I don't think it will help as SR was directed to wrong Service Center.

In addition to all USCIS inefficiencies, this transfer between service centers makes my case all the more confusing and even more unlikely to be approved anytime soon. Very frustrating!!

I filed my I-485 in Aug2007 and my I-140 is approved in EB2. My daughter was on dependent H-4 and her I-485 also was filed in Aug07 as dependent on my GC. She completed 21 year in June2008.

My question is if we receive our GC in current year, she will get GC as she already crossed 21 years? Appreciate your answer and thank you in advance.

This interesting article was posted on ILW.com
ILW.COM - immigration news: The Trials And Tribulations Of Highly Educated Immigrants (http://www.ilw.com/articles/2010,0120-donoghue.shtm)

Everyone saw this coming. It has been a steady decline in the situation in teh past 10 years.
The handwriting was on the wall for quite sometime.
They will eventually make the H1B unusable by IT firms/body shoppers.

I filed my eEAD 45 days back, competed finger printing 15 days back, still I don't see LUD on my case; However, my spouse who filed 30 days back had 3 LUD, and a recent after finger print.

Can guys suggest, is this common. Usually after FP I should see a LUD, right? What are my options..

    You response is highly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi,
My H1B was approved with a start date of 12th Dec 2010. However, the paperwork for the position has not been completed as yet by the HR of my employer and now they tell me that the start date of my position will be around the middle of Jan 2011.

This means that I will not get paid till the actual start of my position. So what is my legal status right now.

I have been told that on a H1B visa, If I am not working and getting paid for the position I was approved for, I am illegal.

Please advise me as I still have time to convey the issues to get the paperwork done right. What happens if my H1B start date is the 12th of Jan and my job paperwork shows position and pay from the 15th of Jan?

Do we (parent) gets any benefits in terms of Visa status if you have child born in USA and you stay in US for certain years?

    In the other word:
Once you have child born in USA is there any way to get green card based on your child citizenship?

With all the data from USCIS, FOIA and other tracker - random sampling its really hard to say. They all say different things. I think the only thing that is somewhat clear is that EB ROW is not going to use much of the visas this year and we expect some reduction in the backlog. There many estimates by people on this forum.

Ever the optimist and trying her best to think happy thoughts, Tinker Bell, the world's most famous faerie, has been flying over Washington this week. She soared into town, lifted up by throngs of May Day marchers who believed popular revulsion to Arizona's "Papers, please" law would finally jolt politicians into enacting comprehensive immigration reform. Hailing from the country of Neverland, Tinker flew in solidarity with the marchers, alarmed that she had entered the country without inspection and without papers, and that all she had in her pocket was faerie dust. Then she plummeted, almost to the ground, as she...
